Approximately five households have been affected, experiencing extensive property damage and loss of livelihoods. President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has made a significant empowerment intervention to the National Aids Commission. The Liberian leader in a drive to help alleviate some of the challenges facing the National AIDS Commission donated two brand new picks up to that agency of government. The Ministry of Mines and Energy has shut down all artisanal and small scale mining sites in Tchien, Grand Gedeh County. The decision followed the discovery of some artisanal and small scale miners using earth-moving equipment for Class ‘C’ mining operations which is in flagrant violation of the Law. According to the Ministry such action by the small scale miners run counter to provisions of the Minerals and Mining Law, and the Regulations governing the mining sector in Liberia. The program which is an initiative of West Africa Democracy Solidarity Network (WADEMOS) Next Gen Fellow, Sialyn H. Bockarie, and implemented by InfoQuest brought together adolescents and youths to discuss leadership, sustainable peace, and mental health and inform them about sexual reproductive health and rights. A trained US Military personnel Prince Ngaima and a born Liberian who resides in the United States of America has accused the National Chairman of the Patriotic entrepreneur of Liberia; Dominic Nimely of allegedly refusing to settle his bike transaction issue. The female national team of Liberia on Thursday convincely defeated Guinea Bissau three goals to one in the ongoing WAFU tournament currently taking place in Mauritinia. Despite having some challenges prior to the commencement of the competition, the talented Liberian players remain focused and over- power her West African counterpart. A brace from Mimi Eiden and Jessica Quachie saw the red , white and blue outfit collecting all three points from her first game of the competition. Former First Lady, Nancy Doe is reported Dead. Madam Doe according to reports died in the United Kingdom after a period of illness. Nancy was born in 1949 in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County. She moved to Monrovia in the 1960s, where she worked as a business woman. Madam Doe later married , former President Samuel K. Doe Samuel who was in the Liberian Armed Forces, in the late 60s. They both had had four children. Our condolences to the bereaved family.
