In a series of sweeping administrative actions aimed at bolstering governance and improving institutional efficiency, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has announced new appointments and leadership changes across key sectors of the Liberian government.
The latest changes, released Tuesday by the Executive Mansion, include strategic appointments at the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, along with a significant shake-up at the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL).
In a move to introduce new faces , President Boakai appointed three new officials at the Ministry of Justice, namely; Atty. Teklo Maxwell Grigsby, II, Director, Witness Protection Unit, Varney Ali Sheriff, Deputy Director, Witness Protection Unit and
Dr. Stephen D. Paye, Probation and Parole Administrator.
At the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Amos T. F. Kemeyah has been named County Relieving Commissioner for Lofa County, tasked with supporting local governance and coordination.
On the other hand and in a major leadership change, President Boakai relieved the Director General and Deputy Director General of the National Public Health Institute of Liberia Dr. Dougbeh Chris Nyan and Dr. Adams K. Lincoln respectively.
At the same time, President Boakai cited administrative reasons for his decision.
In a drive to maintain continuity, the President has appointed Dr. Sia Wata Camanor as Interim Director General (Officer-in-Charge).
Dr. Camanor will work closely with the NPHIL Board, Ministry of Health, and international partners to ensure ongoing operations during the transition period.
According to the Executive Mansion, these changes reflect President Boakai’s broader agenda to promote effective leadership, transparency, and improved performance across all branches of government.
