Organizers of the Enough is Enough protest have finally presented their petition statement to the government of Liberia outlining number of issues for redress.
The protesters earlier today march from different locations under the rain, holding placards and singing slogans, eventually converged at the grounds of the Capitol Building where they read the statement.
Among other things, they named top entities and officials of government who they claimed are linked to corruption including their prosecution respectively.
Under several counts , they call for the creation of jobs for the young people, the release of what they claimed as unlawful restrictions on the movement of motor and tricles from pliding the main streets.
The protesters through their statement also call for an end to political witch- hunt as well as the dismissal of police Inspector General Gregory Coleman.
At the same time they protesters call for an independent investigation into alleged allegations linking speaker Richard Nagbe Koon to corruption.
Moreover, They call for an end to police brutality, corruption among others.
The much published protest was conducted in a relatively peaceful manner by both the protesters and law enforcement officer.
However, there were violence on the grounds of the Capitol Building when Senator Momo Cyrus and his colleague went to receive the petition statement on behalf of the National Legislature.
According to Senator Cyrus, the throwing of stones at them was sad and warned Liberians to always remain peaceful and law-abiding in putting forth their pligts void of violence.
Few people sustained minor injuries as a result of the stone throwing incident which was horribly brought under control by state security officers.
Meanwhile, the organizers of the protest give the government fourteen days to address their long worded petition statement.
