-Says “Bility is Playing Dirty Politics“

Bong County Senator Prince Moye has sharply rejected accusations from Citizens Movement for Change (CMC) Political Leader Musa Bility, describing them as a “calculated political ploy” intended to stir confusion and mislead the public.
The controversy stems from the Ministry of Public Works’ recent decision to halt a proposed bridge construction project by the CMC in Bong County, citing that the project was already part of existing government plans.
The CMC leadership, however, accused the government of witch-hunting and claimed that Senators Moye and Emmanuel Nuquay influenced the suspension.Appearing on ELBC Radio on Monday, November 17, Senator Moye denied any involvement, insisting that the project was politicized from the onset.
He argued that the accusations are retaliation for his role in helping the government recover millions of U.S. dollars in storage fees for petroleum products kept in China Union–owned tanks at the Liberia Petroleum and Refining Company (LPRC).
The Bong senator has alleged that the illegal acquisition and commercial use of the tanks deprived Bong County of nearly US$11 million in benefits and corporate social responsibility funds.
“The CMC political leader has an agenda,” Moye stated. “How can a man who deprived Bong County of US$11 million now return with one or two bridges to look like a redeemer? Bility does not see politically.”
Senator Moye disclosed that he sent multiple text messages to CMC Political Leader Representative Marvin Cole and Public Works Minister Roland Giddings, expressing his support for the bridge project.
Emphasizing that he welcomes development in Bong County from any political actor despite the government’s decision to halt the project at the selected site, Moye said Bility still has more than five alternative locations in Bong where similar projects could be undertaken.
The Bong Senator encouraged Bility to invest in development across Bong and other counties using funds he says citizens were deprived of through the China Union tank rental arrangement.
“I am 100 percent in support of constructing the bridge,” he emphasized. “But I will not use my proximity to the President to engage in wrongdoing.”
According to him, he has vowed never to overstep the roles of government institutions and maintained that no legislator has made more personal contributions to infrastructural and human development in Bong County than he has.
He also warned Bility and his supporters against using his closeness to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai as an excuse to mislead residents about development efforts in the county.
