The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Richard Nagbe Koon, is set to play a prominent role in Liberia’s 179th Independence Anniversary celebrations as Presenter of Citations and Accolades at the 16th Golden Image Awards (GIA) 2026, one of the country’s most prestigious national recognition ceremonies.
The event is scheduled for July 21, 2026, at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, Monrovia, and is expected to bring together senior government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, development partners, business executives, civil society leaders, traditional authorities, and distinguished guests from across the world.
