Executive Mansion, Monrovia: President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has made sweeping administrative changes across several key government institutions as part of his administration’s ongoing efforts to enhance governance, accountability, and performance within the public sector.

According to a statement issued today by the Executive Mansion, the President has appointed new officials in the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, while also announcing a major leadership shift at the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL).

New Appointments in Justice and Internal Affairs

At the Ministry of Justice, the following individuals have been appointed:

Atty. Teklo Maxwell Grigsby, II – Director, Witness Protection Unit

Mr. Varney Ali Sheriff – Deputy Director, Witness Protection Unit

Dr. Stephen D. Paye – Probation and Parole Administrator

Meanwhile, at the Ministry of Internal Affairs,

Mr. Amos T. F. Kemeyah has been named County Relieving Commissioner for Lofa County.

Leadership Shakeup at NPHIL

In a related move, President Boakai has relieved the Director General and Deputy Director General of the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) from their duties for “administrative reasons.”

The officials removed are:

Dr. Dougbeh Chris Nyan, Director General

Dr. Adams K. Lincoln, Deputy Director General

To ensure continuity at the critical public health institution, the President has appointed Dr. Sia Wata Camanor as the Interim Director General (Officer-in-Charge) of NPHIL. She has been tasked with coordinating closely with the NPHIL Board, the Ministry of Health, and international and local partners to maintain operational stability while the search for a permanent Director General is underway.
