In a significant development for Lofa County, Naymote Partners for Democratic Development, with support from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), dedicated a Rice Mail Project for the Lofa United Blind Association of Liberia.

The Rice Mail Project, aims to enhance the livelihoods of visually impaired individuals in Lofa County.

According to Eric Zubah, Naymote County Coordinator, the project seeks to support promising business initiatives, address community grievances, and scale up livelihood opportunities for marginalized communities.

This initiative is part of a broader program titled “Delivering Peace Dividends through Socio-Economic Empowerment of Disadvantaged Youth,” which targets young people, women, and persons with disabilities.

The dedicatory ceremony highlighted the collaborative efforts of Naymote Partners, UNDP, and the Progressive Youth for Community Safety Initiative (PYCOSI) in driving peace and development in Lofa County.

The project’s impact is expected to extend beyond economic empowerment, fostering peace and social cohesion in the community.

Meanwhile, during the dedication ceremony, the Lofa County Superintendent extended his heartfelt gratitude to UNDP for the initiative.

J. Lavela Massaqoi also urge the citizens of Lofa to continue maintaining the peace and stability of Lofa County, and the Country at large.

This initiative underscores the commitment of Naymote Partners and UNDP to promoting sustainable development and peace in Liberia.

By empowering vulnerable groups, these projects aim to create a more inclusive and prosperous society for all.
