The Merged Federation of Motorcycle and Tricycle Unions of Liberia (M-FOMTUL) has announced the immediate removal of its Interim President General, John A. F. Kenyor, following a formal “Vote of No Confidence” by its National Executive Committee (NEC).

The decision, made on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, comes after extensive deliberations by the NEC, which cited several reasons for Kenyor’s removal.

The union’s official press statement listed the following key justifications:
Negligence in the discharge of duties,
Conflict of interest, Unilateral decision-making, Lack of transparency and
Misrepresentation of the institution.

The union’s National Public Relations Officer (PRO), Boomta Jacob Z. Mulbah, signed the statement, which advised all government institutions, international organizations, NGOs, private entities, and the public to cease all dealings with Kenyor in his purported capacity as the union’s representative.

“Any engagement with Mr. Kenyor in this capacity is unauthorized and undertaken solely at your own risk,” the statement read.

Transitional Leadership Plans
To ensure operational continuity, the NEC has announced that it will implement a transitional leadership mechanism.

An emergency meeting is scheduled to be held within 14 days to elect or select a new Interim President General.

M-FOMTUL, which represents motorcyclists and tricyclists across Liberia, reaffirmed its commitment to “transparency, accountability, and principled leadership.” For all official communications, stakeholders are directed to contact the union directly, they added.
