The Liberia National Police (LNP) Margibi Detachment today received a significant boost to its operational capabilities with the donation of two brand new TVS black absorb motorbikes from the Margibi County local authority.

The handover ceremony, led by Superintendent Victoria Woloba Duncan, took place on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the County’s administrative building in Kakata.

Superintendent Duncan presented the bikes to Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Patrick Kormazu, and his team.

During the ceremony, she lauded the police for their considerable efforts in combating crime throughout the county.

While the exact cost of the motorbikes was not disclosed, Superintendent Duncan confirmed that the funding was sourced from the county’s development budget.

She underscored the vital role these bikes will play in supporting police efforts to reduce crime both within the community and in surrounding areas.

In her remarks, Superintendent Duncan called upon all citizens of Margibi to work in close cooperation with the police to enhance community safety and development.

Accepting the donation on behalf of the LNP, ACP Patrick Kormazu expressed his sincere gratitude to the county’s leadership.

He affirmed that the new motorbikes will be instrumental in significantly aiding police operations across Margibi County.
