Blackmagic Design technology and advanced digital production systems are poised to transform sports broadcasting in Liberia, according to the Chief Executive Officer of Intel Sports Liberia, Besario Boakai, who says the company is preparing to maximize cutting-edge innovations to elevate sports production and international coverage standards across the country.
Speaking about the organization’s new strategic direction, Boakai disclosed that Intel Sports Liberia intends to deploy modern audiovisual technology to significantly improve sports coverage, enhance live-event storytelling, and increase Liberia’s sporting visibility to audiences both at home and abroad.
“We will maximize technology to the fullest to improve sports production and global coverage across Liberia and beyond,” Boakai emphasized, outlining what observers see as an ambitious push to modernize sports broadcasting in a country where access to professional multi-camera sports production remains limited.
Central to Intel Sports Liberia’s technological shift is the adoption of solutions developed by Blackmagic Design, a globally recognized audiovisual technology company whose production systems are increasingly used in sports, entertainment, and live broadcasting industries worldwide.
Boakai described the company’s flagship post-production and live workflow software, DaVinci Resolve Studio, as “a complete game changer” for audiovisual production, particularly in sports broadcasting where speed, precision, replay functionality, and real-time collaboration are essential.
According to Boakai, recently enhanced features within DaVinci Resolve Studio are helping redefine how sporting events are captured, edited, replayed, and presented to audiences by enabling intuitive workflows and multi-user collaboration systems that improve production quality and bring viewers closer to the action.
“The technology has taken sports production and replay to another level,” he said, adding that Intel Sports Liberia plans to maximize these capabilities to maintain professionalism and world-class standards in sports programming and coverage throughout Liberia.
Industry experts say modern sports broadcasting increasingly depends on digital workflows, instant replay systems, multi-camera production, motion graphics, remote collaboration, and high-definition streaming technologies to satisfy rapidly growing global audiences.
The global sports media market has expanded significantly in recent years, fueled by increasing demand for live content, streaming platforms, and digital engagement.
International sporting audiences now expect seamless broadcasts featuring multiple camera angles, instant match analysis, immersive replays, and high-definition production values that were once exclusive to elite sporting markets.
For Liberia, where sporting infrastructure and media technology continue to evolve, Boakai believes improved production quality could become a catalyst for elevating local competitions, strengthening fan engagement, attracting sponsorship opportunities, and increasing international exposure for Liberian athletes and teams.
“This means a lot for Liberia’s sporting sector, which has long faced challenges in delivering professional multi-camera sports coverage to global audiences,” Boakai reiterated.
