The Government of Liberia has officially commissioned regional passport hubs in Bong and Grand Gedeh Counties, a major step in decentralizing access to vital services.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony in Bong County, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai said the initiative aligns with the core values and vision of the ARREST agenda.for inclusive development.
The Liberian leader emphasized that the establishment of these hubs demonstrates the government’s commitment to strengthening service delivery in county capitals and enhancing access to public assets.
President Boakai also called on citizens to hold their leaders accountable and demand quality leadership at all levels of government.
In addition to the passport hubs, the President inaugurated a $47 million state-of-the-art secondary school facility in Bong County, aimed at improving educational infrastructure across the country.
Also speaking at the event, Education Minister Dr. Jarso Jallah stated that the new school will help reduce overcrowding in existing facilities.
She highlighted that the project includes 15 classrooms, a technical and vocational education (TVET) training space, accessible facilities for persons with disabilities, as well as science laboratories and a digital learning center, among other features.
Minister Jallah praised the development as a transformative investment in Liberia’s future, signaling a renewed commitment to quality education.
