“We need real time action and drastic decision from national government to battle drugs nationwide “, Nusee re-emphasized.

Prior to the national campaign he told our reporter that First Touch has been in the vanguard of creating the necessary awareness in various communities against drugs, stating further that they will continue even after the national march.

According to him, a sports base approach is one of the best ways to fight drugs.

“Let’s have the kids more engaged into sporting activities and with that, they can not get involved with other unwholesome acts, he reechoed.

He pointed out that football is more than just a game as they are using football at First Touch Sports Academy to educate more kids and prepare future leaders for national decision making.

At the same time he stressed the need for national government to be more proactive in fighting drugs order than just words, we need bold action now, he maintained.

Nusee argued that building rehabilitation center is good but when the children are not kept out of the streets , they will continue to do the same old thing as such, he encouraged more vacation school and other sporting programs which will help keep the young kids very busy, and more engaged than been in the streets.

“The kids need to play and by this, they will not have the time to engage into bad acts”, he further justified his point.

According to him, such has worked for First Touch Sports Academy for the past five years where over one hundred kids have benefited while others are still benefiting from the sports program and they are doing well .

Because of the engaging activities under the program, Nusee explained that the kids have not had any time to engage into drugs or other bad practices, “they have been engaged daily with meaningful sports and capacity development initiatives by the academy”, he added.
