The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has taken custody of two Liberian nationals, Patient Nagbeh (22) and Haja Toure (44), following their official turnover by the Webbo Magistrate Court on May 1, 2025, in connection with an alleged drug-related case.
According to a press release issued by the LDEA on May 6, 2025, suspect Haja Toure reported that Patient Nagbeh owed her LRD 20,000—a debt she admitted in court was linked to an illegal drug transaction. During the hearing, Nagbeh confessed that Toure had given her 80 wraps of heroin, valued at LRD 20,000, to sell, but she failed to sell all the drugs.
The release further revealed that Haja Toure has a history of drug-related encounters with the LDEA in both River Gee (2023) and Maryland County (2024).
Both suspects have been formally charged under Sections 14.85 and 14.89 of the Controlled Substances Act for the unlicensed sale and possession of narcotics. They were forwarded to court for prosecution on May 5, 2025.
Meanwhile, the LDEA reiterated its commitment to combating illegal drug activity and urged the public to support its efforts by reporting any drug-related information.
