Delegates at the end of the 2025 historic, Liberia Diaspora Conference have proposed dozens of Recommendation for progress.

Held in Washington DC, the United States of America, the three days Conference brought together scores of Diaspora Liberians from across the globe discussing as key stakeholders on how to move Liberia forward.

As part of plans by the Diaspora office, the scores of Recommendations crafted by the delegates following the end of the different sessions will be further developed into meaningful policies intended to contribute to the growth and development of Liberia.

Very passionate to return home, Diaspora Liberians overwhelmely expressed their desire to make a tangible impact in their motherland.

In a move to demonstrate his government proactiveness as part of the process, the Liberian leader already proposed the establishment of a Diaspora commission, a giant step intended to hit the ground running.

He said his government recognizes keenly the importance and great contribution of Diaspora Liberians to their Country as such disclosed that now is the time for action , action intended to move Liberia forward.

According to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, this is the time for Diaspora Liberians to return home and ensure that they further change their remittances to infrastructure developments as well as job creation and youth empowerment amongst others.

Described as a successful three days event, President Boakai re-emphasized the need for Diaspora Liberians to Teach Their Fellow Kinsman how to fish now and not to always give them fish to eat.

At a well attended Presidential Townhall Meeting to mark the end of the 2025, Liberia Diaspora Conference, President Boakai also commended the US Government for providing the space and opportunities to empower Liberians in different sectors many of whom are making immense contributions back home in different ways.

The United States he emphasized has always demonstrated that it is a true traditional ally and partner to Liberia especially through its support, he reechoed.

Responding generally to key questions and concerns raised by the many Diaspora Liberians in the hall during the Presidential Townhall meeting, the Liberian leader assured them that Liberia is open and ready for business and call on them to bring back their investment, expertise among others to collectively work to develop Liberia.

Acknowledging the challenges in key sectors in Liberia, President Boakai reminded them that it is only Liberians that can help develop their own Country.

Amazed by an offer from a Liberian , Eva Uboti Wallace who reside in the United States of America for many years to invest 3m in infrastructure in her hometown, President Boakai commended her for such plan initiative and assured her that his government will work harder to develop the road to Grand Gedeh County in order to help fast strick the project including other developmental initiatives across the County.

The engaging and well attended Liberia Diaspora Conference , 2025 under the theme: Building The Future Together; Reconciliation, National Healing, Growth and Prosperity which ended in style marks the first edition as more are expected to come.

According to the head of the Diaspora office, goal getter, Erasmus Williams, the dozens of Recommendations a part of their plan engagement will be review in December at the second annual Liberia Diaspora return ceremony which will take place in Liberia.

He rally Diaspora Liberians to return home in December, 2025 in their mass to continue their engagements with one goal of helping to contribute to their motherland.

Mr. Williams also thank key stakeholders for their support to the process as he envisioned more support in order to help realize their objectives.
