The Senate Committee Chair on National Defence, Security and Veterans Affairs, Lofa County Senator, Momo Cyrus has donated a huge consignment of rain gear to the Liberia National Police (LNP). The donation made by Senator includes; 500 raincoats and 1,000 reflective jackets. The gesture was in an effort to ensure safety during the rainy season for officers of the Liberia National Police. The Liberian Senate has unanimously confirmed Mohammed Sheriff as Managing Director for the Liberia Electricity Cooperation. Following the confirmation hearing, Twenty Senators voted in favor with none abstention and none against. Prior to his confirmation, Sheriff served as Acting Managing Director for couple of months now. Meanwhile, The Senate’s decision will be communicated to President Joseph Boakai for further action.

In continuation of its robust and proactive reform agenda, The Civil Service Agency has officially announced a new mandate for all Ministries, Agencies, and Commissions, effective July 28, 2025. Following the official release of the pronouncement , the CSA said no Personnel Action Notice will be processed without a certificate confirming a successful pass in the National Civil Service Testing Center examination.
