The Manager of the Robert International Airport (RIA), James K. Mulbah, has challenged graduates of the Christian University College (CUC) to embrace resilience, courage, and purpose, urging them to carry hope into an uncertain world as the Class of 2025 marked the end of one journey and the beginning of another.
Delivering the commencement address, Mulbah reminded graduates that hope goes beyond optimism. “Hope is not just optimism,” he told the graduating class. “It is the belief that even in uncertainty, purpose exists.”
His message resonated strongly with students who navigated academic pressure, financial limitations, and personal struggles throughout their university experience.
Speaking under the theme “Hope and New Beginnings,” Mulbah emphasized that graduation is more than a ceremonial milestone, it is a defining moment of transition, responsibility, and opportunity.
He described hope as a driving force that empowers individuals to move forward even when the future feels unclear, noting that the graduates’ presence at the ceremony stands as proof that perseverance and belief can overcome adversity.
Addressing the significance of new beginnings, Mulbah said graduation represents a turning point defined not by what students have completed, but by what they are about to begin. He encouraged graduates to reflect on how they will use their education, stressing that learning is not merely the accumulation of knowledge, but the transformation of perspective.
The RIA Manager also highlighted the realities of a rapidly changing global landscape marked by technological advancement and complex social, economic, and environmental challenges. In such a world, he emphasized, hope is essential, not optional.“The world does not only need skilled graduates,” Mulbah stated. “It needs hope-driven problem solvers.”
Mulbah shared three guiding principles for the graduates: to carry hope as an anchor during setbacks, to embrace new beginnings with courage, and to use education as a tool for service and impact.
He reminded students that true success is measured not by personal gain, but by the difference one makes in the lives of others.
University administrators and faculty members commended the Class of 2025 for their resilience and adaptability, noting that the graduates are entering society equipped not only with academic credentials, but also with values grounded in integrity and compassion.
The ceremony concluded on a hopeful note, with graduates encouraged to walk forward with confidence, honor their beginnings, and recognize their role in shaping the future.

In recognition of his exceptional leadership and inspiring message, the university administration honored Mulbah with a ceremonial gown and a certificate of appreciation, acknowledging his impactful contribution to the occasion.
As caps were tossed into the air and applause filled the venue, the message was clear: armed with hope and purpose, the Class of 2025 is ready to face the future, and transform it.
