The Head of the Liberia National Office of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Dale G. Gbotoe, has officially announced that the results for several national public and private schools examinations will be released in nine days time.
The announcement was made during a press briefing held at the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism (MICAT) in Monrovia.
The results scheduled for release include:
The West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for 12th graders,
The Liberia Junior High School Certificate Examination (LJHSCE) for 9th graders,
The Liberia Primary School Certificate Examination (LPSCE) for 6th graders, and
The Liberia National Assessment Test (LNAT) for 3rd graders respectively.
Mr. Gbotoe used the opportunity to clarify misinformation circulating on social media and other platforms, which falsely claimed that the results would be released on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
He firmly dismissed these rumors as false and misleading, urging the public to rely on official communication channels for updates.
“WAEC has always adhered to a strict timeline in releasing examination results, typically within 45 days following the conclusion of exams. This year, exams concluded on June 10, 2025, and we are working within that standard timeframe,” Mr. Gbotoe explained.
He further commended the Government of Liberia for fulfilling its financial obligations to WAEC, which has enabled the organization to operate smoothly and on schedule.
“We extend our sincere appreciation to the Government of Liberia for its unwavering support and for meeting its financial commitments. This partnership continues to make it possible for us to serve the educational needs of our country effectively,” Mr. Gbotoe stated.
The announcement brings clarity to thousands of anxious students, parents, and educators across Liberia who are eagerly awaiting the results that are pivotal to students’ academic progression including graduation.
Meanwhile, the national testing house renewed its commitment to transparency, accuracy, and timely delivery of results in line with international standards.
