The leadership of the United Methodist University Alumni Association (UMUAA) has announced the appointment of two committees to coordinate activities for the induction of its incoming leadership scheduled for Friday, April 17, 2026, at the First United Methodist Church.
According to the Association, the Inaugural Committee will lead the planning and coordination of the induction ceremony, which is expected to bring together alumni, partners, and supporters to witness the formal installation of the Association’s new leadership team.
The committee will also oversee preparations to ensure a smooth and successful transition of leadership.The Inaugural Committee is chaired by Isaac Muapo, with Fata D. Sirleaf serving as Co-Chairperson and Akoi M. Baysah, Jr. as Secretary. Other members include Kimberline A. C. Annan, Gertrude K. Saizay, Olu Potter, Justina Kezelee, Benjamin Dagher, and Amara Kanneh.
They are further tasked with the responsibility to coordinate a fundraisers initiative to support the construction of a 16-classroom facility at the University’s future campus in Doma Town.
The project forms part of the Alumni Association’s broader efforts to contribute to the expansion of educational infrastructure and support the long-term development of the institution.
Meanwhile, the Association has also constituted an Inaugural Ball Committee to organize the Inaugural Ball, which will take place following the induction ceremony on April 17, 2026.
Members of the committee will identify and secure a suitable venue and coordinate all arrangements necessary to ensure a successful and memorable event for alumni and invited guests.
Those appointed include Austin Togbah, Chairman, Rita Cole Reeves Co-Chair and Edison Townsend as Secretary. Other members include Hilary B. Johnson, Forlo Tomah, Bendu Pinky Kaba, Godwin Dorbuweh, Lovely Teewon, Theophilus Sion, and Del Walker.

The leadership of UMUAA Alumni has expressed appreciation to members of both committees for their willingness to serve, noting that their dedication will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the induction ceremony, the Inaugural Ball, and the fundraising drive supporting the University’s future campus development.
These events are expected to take place on April 17, 2026 and are intended to strengthen alumni engagement while highlighting the Association’s commitment to supporting key development initiatives at the University.
