The outstanding work of the Morroccan Government through its Ambassador to Liberia Amb.Lahoucine Rahmouni continue to be recognized and commended by various sectors within the Country.
Just under a year since the establishment of the Morrocco’s embassy near Monrovia , the impactful work of the Moroccan Ambassador has not gone unnoticed especially among key stakeholders and individuals alike.
The embassy has already started working to implement some of its projects and programs in Liberia in the interest of the two Countries and peoples respectively.
Infrastructure development, health , education, agriculture among others are key areas of interventions from Morrocco which have drew the attention of the two institutions to have honored the Northern African Diplomat.
As a mark of appreciation for the level of tremendous work done thus far , the Civil Society group named and styled, Liberia For One Africa gowned Ambassador Rahmouni for his proactive step taken since his arrival in Liberia last November, 2024.
According to the Chairman of the group Pastor James Korzuvah, the Morroccan Contributions to Liberia is making a meaningful impact in Liberia especially in Education, innovation, modernization among others.
“You deserve this honor , wear this Liberian made gown with our national colors, Red, White and Blue as a sign of appreciation and let this serve as a motivation for you to do more for the people of Liberia “, he said.
At the same time, the Sheikh Kouyateh Foundation also presented a certificate of honor to his Majesty King Mohammed VI for his unwavering support to Liberia.
Presenting the certificate of honor through Ambassador Rahmouni was the Executive Director of the Foundation Melissa T. Saad who recounted the Morroccan government numerous support and empowerment to Liberia especially its people.
In a happy mood, Ambassador Rahmouni thanked the Liberia for one Africa Civil Society for the recognition.
” I cherished this and I wear this gown as a symbol of friendship and continue cooperation”, he added.
At the same, the Morroccan diplomat appreciated the Sheikh Kouyateh Foundation for honoring his Majesty King Mohammed VI for his impactful leadership and contributions to Liberia and the continent in general.
Meanwhile, the honoring program took place at the 26th Anniversary ceremony of the Throne Day held on July 30, 2025.
