The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has arrested
three women during a drug search and seizure operation in Tienpo Nyonken, River
Gee County.

The arrests occurred on May 19, 2025, during a routine LDEA
patrol in Tienpo Statutory District, a densely populated area known for active
mining operations.

According to the LDEA, the operation led to the discovery of
a significant quantity of illegal substances at the suspects’ residence.

Items confiscated included half a plate of compressed marijuana, six wraps of
marijuana, and a bottle of King Juice reportedly laced with marijuana. The
total street value of the drugs is estimated at LRD 15,600.

The suspects have been identified as Tetee Bestman, 38,
Naomi Bestman, 41, and Lovetee Jimmy, 22. They are currently being held at the
LDEA detention center in Fish Town, River Gee County, pending further
investigation and formal charges.

Commander Richard N. Nangoe of the LDEA in River Gee
reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to combating drug trafficking, emphasizing
the importance of holding repeat offenders accountable.

Authorities say the operation is part of ongoing efforts to
protect communities and uphold the rule of law in the fight against illegal
narcotics.
