Montserrado County District #3 Representative, Sumo Mulbah, has reaffirmed his strong support for the establishment of a War and Economic Crimes Court in Liberia.

Speaking to our reporter, Representative Mulbah highlighted the importance of accountability for individuals who committed atrocities during the country’s civil conflict.

He emphasized that justice must be served to ensure that victims and their families find healing, and the culture of impunity brought to an end.

According to Representative Mulbah, the court’s establishment will not only bring justice but also serve as a powerful deterrent against future violations.

“Those who committed heinous acts during our years of unrest must be held accountable. This is not about revenge, but about justice and national healing,” he re-emphasized.

He further noted that the presence of a credible justice system will help to restore confidence in Liberia’s institutions, particularly among international partners and investors.

“A country that promotes justice and upholds the rule of law sends a strong message to the world that it is serious about peace, stability, and development,” Mulbah added.

Representative Mulbah’s stance aligns with growing national and international calls for justice and accountability as Liberia continues its post-war recovery and democratic consolidation.

Commenting on his involvement with District residents, Representative Mulbah highlighted the importance of maintaining a close connection with the people he represents, noting that he has organized several town hall meetings across various communities. These meetings have provided a vital platform for citizens to voice their concerns, share ideas, and participate in shaping policies that directly impact their lives.

Representative Mulbah has also spearheaded key programs aimed at empowering the youth and improving access to education and vocational training.

Among these initiatives is the introduction of a robust Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program designed to equip young people with practical skills and improve their employability.

This program aligns with the broader national strategy to reduce youth unemployment and support economic self-reliance.

Meanwhile the Montserrado County #3 Representative revealed that he has initiated scholarship opportunities for deserving students within the district.

These scholarships aim to ease the financial burden on families and promote academic excellence among young people. “Investing in education and skills development is investing in the future of our district,” he emphasized.

Through these efforts, Representative Mulbah continues to demonstrate a hands-on approach to leadership, ensuring that his constituents not only have a voice in governance but also access to meaningful opportunities for growth and advancement.
