Liberia’s 178th Independence day orator Rev. Emmett Dunn has cautioned the ruling establishment not demonized and disrespect the opposition.

He said the crowning of any one ruling party Democracy is the constant exchange of ideas, The Clash of Visions for the common good.
He re-emphasized that the opposition are not the enemy of the state but are part of machinery of accountability.
According to him, A nation Where opposition voices are silenced, it is a nation walking into darkness.
“Let us not fear disagreement, But let us fear apathy, Let us dependently, But respect one another’s deeply”, he added.
Liberia, he stressed needs strong government, But will also need strong opposition and together, they formed the engines and they help the ship of democracy goals ceiling still and now, we’re standing.
At the same time, he call on the political oppositions in Liberia to demonstrate leadership, Integrity, and a deep commitment to the Democratic principles that unite the nation as critical stakeholders in the political system.
The opposition, he re-emphasized plays of viral role in ensuring accountability, Transparency, and inclusiveness.
However, he pointed out that with such rule, comes it profound responsibility to act in ways that preserve the national Unity, A fragile peace, and the public trust.
He argued that in this pivotal time of the country, It is essential that all political actors engage in dialogue of all, respect the rule of law and reject any form of violence, misinformation, and Constructive criticism and peaceful advocacy.
The opposition is key a pillows of democracy, But they must be guided by truth, respect for institutions and a shared vision for a stable and prosperous Liberia.
