The National Elections Commission of Liberia has release preliminary list of Aspirants for the District 5, Nimba County 2025 Representative By – election.
The Aspirants include: Bories B. Barlea-Independent candidate, Abraham Karapo- Liberia Transformation Party, Kortor Sehwongbay Kwagrue- Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction, Tarkpor A. Mambia-Independent and Augustus Karnay Menkoah- Vision for Liberia Transformation Party.
Others are: Joseph Gondee Wheyee-Liberia People Democratic Party, Cole Williams-Independent, Madee Kamah Wongbah-Liberia Rebuilding Party, Samson Zayean Wonnah Democrati’s People Party of Liberia and Jackson Soumie You- National Democratic Coalition party.
According to the NEC of the Aspirants there are six male candidates and one female candidate.
The bi- election is slated for August 12, 2025.
The district#5 election is at the result of its sitting lawmaker Samuel Kogar election to the Liberian Senate in April of this year replacing fallen Senator Prince Johnson.
