The Executive Chairman of the Liberia Special Economic Zones Authority (LSEZA), Prince Wreh, has held a strategic breakfast meeting with Joseph Zadrozny, Chargé d’Affaires at the United States Embassy in Liberia, aimed at strengthening investment cooperation between Liberia and the United States.
The high-level engagement focused on advancing discussions around investment opportunities and expanding collaboration in the development of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) across Liberia.
During the meeting, according to LSEZA, Chairman Wreh outlined key institutional achievements and ongoing initiatives designed to attract both domestic and foreign investors.
He emphasized the government’s commitment to designating and developing SEZs as a catalyst for economic transformation.
Chairman Wreh indicated that the Special Economic Zones present significant opportunities in priority sectors including manufacturing, agro-processing, energy, logistics, and value-added industries.
He noted that SEZ development is central to Liberia’s broader economic strategy, particularly in driving job creation, technology transfer, industrial growth, economic diversification, and sustainable development.
For his part, US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Zadrozny welcomed the progress made by LSEZA and reaffirmed the United States’ interest in supporting initiatives that promote private sector development and mutually beneficial trade and investment relations.
The meeting underscores continued diplomatic engagement and a shared commitment to deepening Liberia–U.S. economic ties through strategic partnerships and investment-driven growth.
