Liberia’s newly crowned Strongest Man, Mr. John S. Weah, popularly known as “Gentle Giant”, has paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC), Amos B. Tweh, in recognition of his support for sports and youth development in Liberia.

During the visit, Gentle Giant presented his championship belt to Managing Director Tweh as a symbolic gesture of appreciation, acknowledging the LPRC boss’s consistent encouragement of athletics and initiatives aimed at empowering young people.

Weah praised Tweh for his commitment to national development, particularly programs that provide platforms for youth to discover, nurture, and showcase their talents.

In response, Amos B. Tweh congratulated Gentle Giant on his remarkable achievement, describing him as “a shining example of young talent, discipline, and determination in Liberia.”

The LPRC MD reaffirmed his dedication to youth empowerment, emphasizing that opportunities for growth must be expanded across all sectors.

“My office remains open to all Liberians, and I will continue to support initiatives that help young people harness and maximize their potential,” Tweh said.

Also present at the meeting were the Deputy Managing Director for Administration, Hon. Jacob Julius Smith, and the Deputy Managing Director for Operations, Eric Ceekay Sayee, both of whom congratulated Gentle Giant and encouraged him to continue serving as a role model and inspiration to Liberia’s youth.

According to the LPRC official Facebook page, the visit ended with interactive discussions, photo sessions, and words of encouragement, highlighting the importance of collaboration between institutions and young achievers in promoting youth development, national pride, and positive role models.
