Tears, pain, and sorrows are now the order of the day in Matadi , Don Bosco Community, especially among the locals who woke up to the shocking news of the death of four residents.

The untimely and painful incident took place early Thursday morning at 1:00am. in the Matadi, Don Bosco Community.

According to eyewitnesses, the aggressive fire incident destroyed a zinc house containing four rooms.

The incident eyewitnesses also narrated led to the death of four children who got burned beyond recognition.

In an attempt to safe lives and prevent further destruction of properties as a result of the fire incident, officers of the Liberia National fire service flanked by their fire truck and dressed in their protective fire equipment horribly rushed on the scene but were unable to penetrate due to inaccessibility as a result of poor road condition.

However, the fortunate residents who are now survivals of the incident are now homeless as a result of the horrible fire incident that burned to ashes the entire zinc round house.

They used the ocassion to call on well meaning residents of Matadi, the Government and other business people as well as international partners to come to their rescue as they are about to begin life from the very beginning having lost everything to the fire incident.

Meanwhile, the unfortunate death news has so far turned the planned annual Matadi ceremony into a sour one as residents can’t easily hold back their tears, especially at the eve of the celebration’s commencement.

Sadly, the incident took place just a stone throw away from the main venue where the day long ceremony is expected to take place.
