The call from President Joseph Nyuma Boakai to Diaspora Liberians to Teach Their Fellow Liberians How To Fish is already resonating among Diaspora Liberians.

In continuation of their support and remittances back home, the realization for a sustained effort in Liberia especially in key sectors cant be over- emphasized.

As they continue to raise some issues of security and infrastructure challenges, there are others who have identified some of these challenges though but yet have taken the bull by the horn to make some needed interventions in the interest of the masses and one of such is Wellington Railey.

Hailed from Sinoe County, Railey in 1997 left Grand Bassa County for Monrovia in a move to make a better life.

As a focused and determined young man with so much passion to contribute to the society, Railey joined the media profession where his childhood dream of becoming a journalist came to past.

Working then for UNMIL radio, Wellington contributed to societal change through his specialized reports over the period.

With bigger hopes and quest to make an impact in his motherland, Mr. Railey im 2016 moved to the United States of America where, he realized a great turning point in his life.

As the song writer says, the beginning was not easy but it was worthy and over time including a focus mind , he has now transitioned from journalist to an entrepreneur.

Railey, as a young Liberian businessman, the Chief Executive Officer of Wellington Staffing and Nyewell Cleaning Corporation all based in the USA .

Through his entrepreneurship, he has now employed several Liberians and non Liberians in the US who are working for his company and are helping to sustain their homes and families including lending help hands back home.

Currently he has three companies and have employe over hundreds of people in the USA.

Wellington who already made some contributions back home over the period has realized that a sustained effort back home is the real goal as recommended by the Liberian leader, Joseph Nyuma Boakai.

Currently, he has embarked on the construction of a sixty bed room hospital in Johnsonville, Montserrado County.

The project which is fast progressing upon completion will greatly help to ease the infrastructure gap in the health sector especially in a growing community with thousands of inhabitants.

Unlike before, the existing road infrastructure which has already attracted more Liberians to that community including regular electricity supply among others, now sees Johnsonville gradually developing into a new City.

According to him, his dream is to make a tangible difference through his work.

” I really thought to make this as a surprise but the President’s statement has further inspire me and I am even motivated to do more for my Country and people “, he said.

As work on the project continues, Mr. Railey’s desire is to do more in changing the narratives in a drive to avoid the recurrence of his past experience.

“You know the story and now with God’s blessing us, we need to change the old past and give a renew hope to our people, they deserve better”, he added.

Railey also used the medium to encourage his Diaspora colleagues to see President Boakai’s latest statement as a wakeup call for them in the Diaspora community and return home, teach their fellow Kingsman how to fish in order to make Liberia better.

At same time, he appeal to President Boakai to recondition the road leading to the hospital project which he said is in bad state but when reconditioned or develop will also help residents in the area including surrounding communities as well as the new health facility which will also help to save lives.

Youth empowerment through job creation, agriculture, infrastructure development in key sectors including health and livelihood support are priorities for the young Liberian entrepreneur, a former reporter who is now giving back to his nation and its people through his meaningful initiatives.

Working further he disclosed new plans already underway to venture into real estate which he pointed out is his passion.

“I love doing this and I will engage more into real estate to help empower my people and make a big difference “, he re-emphasized.

As he envisioned to do more, there are other Liberians who are also doing same and even more but a sustained and tangible effort back home in teaching Liberians how to fish and not always giving them fish to eat is now the goal and wakeup call for them as proposed by President Boakai, “return home, bring back your expertise, investments , experiences and professionalism and let’s rebuild Liberia together “, President Boakai re-emphasized.
