Grand Gedeh County Electoral District #1 Representative, Jeremiah Garwo Sokan, has launched a major solar streetlight installation project aimed at improving security, commerce, and community life across the district.
The initiative, which began this week, will see the installation of over 600 solar-powered streetlightsโ150 of which will be mounted across Zwedru City, with the remaining ones extending to surrounding towns and villages within the district.
Executed in partnership with LIB Energy, the project demonstrates Rep. Sokanโs continued commitment to tangible, people-centered development.
The Grand Gedeh lawmaker has also pledged to personally cover the electricity costs, ensuring sustained operation of the lights.
โThis is part of our effort to ensure safer communities, boost petty trade, and enhance nightlife across the district,โ Rep. Sokan stated at the project launch.
The streetlight project adds to the growing list of development undertakings spearheaded by Rep. Sokan since his election to the House of Representatives.
Meanwhile, he is expected to present a report to his people highlighting key people centered issues, among others.
