A visually impaired student, Joe Moses Kpaklah who has earned a Bachelor’s
Degree in Primary Education from Cuttington University, is seeking financial
support to cover his graduation expenses, estimated at over $640.
Kpaklah’s academic journey is more than a personal milestone, it is a
powerful symbol of perseverance and the capabilities of visually impaired
individuals in Liberia, where access to inclusive education remains a major
challenge.
Despite the lack of adequate resources and infrastructure for students with
disabilities in many educational institutions, Kpaklah has defied the odds. His
success underscores the urgent need for stronger support systems and greater
investment in inclusive education across the country.
As he prepares to celebrate this achievement, Kpaklah is calling on the
public and well-meaning individuals to help him raise the funds required for
graduation regalia and associated fees.
“We believe that education is a right for everyone, regardless of their
physical ability,” Kpaklah said. “I hope my story inspires others and draws
attention to the importance of supporting visually impaired students in
Liberia.”
His story is a call to action for both individuals and organizations to help
him cross the final hurdle of his academic journey and to champion the broader
cause of educational equity.
Supporters can make a lasting impact, not only by helping Kpaklah celebrate
his hard-earned success, but also by encouraging a more inclusive future for
students with disabilities.
Those interested in contributing are encouraged to reach out through local
educational charities or organizations dedicated to empowering persons with
disabilities.
“Together, we can foster a more inclusive and supportive educational
environment for all,” Kpaklah added.
