Momentum is building within the United Methodist University Alumni Association (UMUAA) as anticipation grows for its highly awaited Inaugural and Fundraising Program slated for Friday, April 24, 2026.
The event is being positioned not just as a ceremony, but as a powerful movement to reconnect alumni, inspire collective action, and drive meaningful development at the United Methodist University.
With preparations in high gear, the Inaugural and Fund Raising Committee is calling on alumni across Liberia and the diaspora to show up in large numbers and be part of what is shaping up to be a landmark gathering.
The program, which begins at 11:00 A.M., will usher in a new generation of leadership while reigniting the spirit of unity and shared responsibility among graduates.
Taking the helm of the Association is President-Elect Emmett P. Coker, alongside a dynamic team that includes James N. N. Fallah (Vice President for Administration-Elect), J. Meekie Reeves, Jr. (Vice President for Operations-Elect), Obediah Zonoe, I (Secretary General-Elect), Felecia J. W. Dorbor (Assistant Secretary General-Elect), and Emmanuel Vessellee (Financial Secretary-Elect).
Together, they are expected to champion a renewed vision focused on stronger alumni engagement and sustainable institutional support.
But beyond the induction, the event carries a deeper mission, raising critical funds to support the construction of a 16-classroom building.
This project is a vital step toward expanding academic opportunities, improving the learning environment, and accommodating the university’s growing student population.
According to the Committee, every contribution, big or small, will play a role in shaping the future of the university.
Alumni, corporate institutions, development partners, and well-wishers are all being encouraged to lend their support and be part of a legacy-building initiative that will benefit generations to come.
“This is your moment to give back, reconnect, and make a difference,” the organizing committee emphasized, describing the event as a rare opportunity for alumni to collectively influence the direction of their alma mater.
The experience will extend beyond the formal ceremony, with an after-event celebration scheduled for 7:00 P.M. at D Calabash, offering a vibrant space for networking, reconnecting, and celebrating shared achievements.
As the countdown begins, UMUAA’s message is clear: this is more than an event, it is a call to action, a celebration of leadership, and a chance to leave a lasting mark on the future of the United Methodist University.
