The U.S. Embassy in Monrovia has welcomed the recent action by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) concerning the arrest and removal of a fugitive wanted in Liberia for producing and selling fraudulent documents.
According to the Embassy, the operation was conducted in response to a Liberian INTERPOL Diffusion, reflecting the strong collaboration between international law enforcement partners.
The Embassy expressed sincere appreciation to the Liberia National Police (LNP) and the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) for their crucial support and cooperation in the case. It further emphasized that such efforts are vital in protecting the integrity of Liberiaโs identity documents and upholding the rule of law.
Looking ahead, the U.S. Embassy stated its commitment to continued collaboration with the LNP and MOJ in future investigations to promote accountability and enhance the security of both nations.
