The True Whig Party (TWP) has officially announced plans to convene its national convention ahead of Liberia’s upcoming presidential and legislative elections.
The convention, set for October 30, 2025, will culminate in the election of a new national leadership team.
Reverend Aldophus Capehart, a senior member of the TWP National Executive Committee, disclosed during a Thursday press conference at the party’s Monrovia headquarters that the National Elections Commission has been formally notified of the event.
“A convention committee, chaired by Mr. Seton Sackor, has been appointed to oversee preparations for the national convention,” Reverend Capehart stated. “This gathering will offer an opportunity to elect a new executive committee to steer the affairs of the party.”
Reverend Capehart also reaffirmed the TWP’s unwavering support for the Unity Party Alliance and its ARREST Agenda, emphasizing the party’s continued commitment to national development through strategic alliances.By: Emmanuel Toe
