In a move to ensure self sustainability and self empowerment, Her Voice has officially launched its AgriBusiness Clinic.

The Clinic according to the vision Bearer Cllr. Margaret Nigba Gayedyu primary focus is to help empower women and youths in Liberia.

The Clinic also for local farmers, small and medium Enterprises among other things is focus on value addition.

Speaking during the official launching ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of Her Voice Farm, Cllr. Margaret Nigba Gayedyu stated that when local farmers add value to their products, it gives additional advantage to them.

“It is time that we see nice packaging of our various local produce to include palm butter, potatoes greens among others, she reechoed.

Under Her Voice Agriculture farm, from farm to table, the organic way, the Clinic, Cllr. Gayedyu streesed also intends to take local farming to another level.

“We need to take a step forward, we need to increase the local market and we have the capacity to do so in order to meet up with the demands of our people “, she further stated.

As part of other efforts, Her Voice Farm she told the gathering will be having field school as well as working with farmers in order to do merchandise farming ensuring that they grow crops and get more using the modern way of farming thereby graduating from the old or traditional farming practices.

Madam Gayedyu used the ocassion to encourage SMEs to register on different compliance and processes, this she pointed out will see how they can get support for their work and to also build their capacity among others.

Also speaking at the ceremony was Deputy Agriculture Minister for Planning David Akoi who hailed women of Liberia for their resilence in helping to contribute meaningfully to the Agriculture sector of Liberia.

Women over the period and up to present, he stated made up dominant percentage of the farming sector as such need to be appreciated.

However, he challenged them to do more in order to further help improve the sector.

The Deputy Agriculture Minister underscore the importance of creativity and innovation of local farmers work which he indicated when done will help the sector.

The government he informed the local farmers is also working on new plans in order to further help empower them.

Meanwhile, the official launching ceremony of Her Voice Clinic also saw a panel discussion with representatives from various Government line Ministeries and agencies as well as partners and actors from within the sector giving an eye opener and practical knowledge to the local farmers.

At that session, local farmers capacity were further shapen on value addition to their produce, marketing, branding as well as safety measures for their products among others.
