As the demolition of the headquarters of the main opposition Coalition for Democratic Change continue to generate more debates and mixed reactions across the Country and the global at large , President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has provided inital response to the situation citing his government’s implementation of the law through the court process.

When quiz about the situation upon his arrival into the Country, he responded by saying” the Law is Law, the police were ordered to do their work in line with the law”, he re-emphasized.

The rule of law is one of the pillars of the ARREST AGENDA FOR INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT and the Liberian leader reechoed that such pillar will be upheld at all times void of interference.

He told Executive mansion reporters that the removal of the people from the premises that doesn’t belong to them was done according to the law, he maintained.

Despite claims of political manipulation into the demolition saga of the CDC’s former headquarters, the Executive sees the decision enforced by the police as the full implementation of the law.

Speaking earlier about his trip to Japan, President Boakai said it was a fruitful one as scores of commitments were made by partners in Japan to help Liberia.

Even though he did not disclose Liberia’s share of the 5.5b that Japan promise to give to Africa following the conference but was hasten to mention that there were good commitments made for the Country in the areas of roads, health and agriculture respectively.

He informed Executive mansion reporters of commitment to connect the Japanese freeway to the Gabriel Tucker’s Bridge, health interventions to include dialysis machines amongst others.

However, the Liberian leader stated that these commitments will depend on how the people behave and how the government takes care of its people including the management of the Country’s resources.

“How we work with our women, youth and others which will show our seriousness to our partners that we mean business and well for necessary interventions and assistances”, he added.

As part of said drive, he emphasized the importance of peace, unity and collaboration for the betterment of the nation and its people during the conference.

The Liberian leader also mentioned interest by partners in Liberia’s agriculture sector which is also one of the key pillars of the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development.

He underscores the importance of roads for the realization of such pillar which he emphasized his government is working on gradually.
