President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., in keeping with the
Constitution of Liberia and pursuant to the New Judiciary Law of Liberia, Chapter 7, Section 7.6, has appointed several qualified Liberians to serve as Judges, Stipendiary Magistrates, and Associate Magistrates across the country.

These appointments, which cover Montserrado, Bong, Nimba, Grand Bassa, Gbarpolu,
Maryland, Rivercess, Lofa, Grand Cape Mount, Grand Gedeh, Bomi, Grand Kru, Margibi, and River Gee Counties, are intended to further strengthen the judicial system by ensuring that every county and magisterial area is staffed with competent judicial officers.

President Boakai emphasized that these appointments are part of his administration’s determination to restore integrity, accessibility, and efficiency to the judiciary.

He called on the new judicial officers to uphold the rule of law, ensure equal access to justice, and conduct themselves with professionalism, independence, and impartiality.

The President further noted that a strong and independent judiciary is indispensable to Liberia’s democracy and the protection of the rights of all citizens.

These nominations, where applicable, are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate.
