Authorities in Margibi County are looking into a disagreement involving a local woman named Sarah, who is accused of mocking her neighbor, Bendu Potee, after a heated argument over an okra garden in Compound Town on Friday, June 6.
The trouble began when Madam Bendu accused Sarah of insulting her while she was working in her okra garden, leading to a heated exchange between the two women.
The argument quickly escalated, with Bendu claiming that Sarah verbally attacked her and made fun of her, which further fueled the conflict.
As a result of the altercation, Madam Bendu sought medical help at Bong Mines Hospital in Fuamah District, Lower Bong County.
Reports say she is receiving treatment for injuries caused during the confrontation.
Eye Witnesses to the incident are being encouraged to come forward to help police with their investigation.
The local community appears divided, with some members supporting Bendu and others siding with Sarah.
While police in Margibi County have not released more details, they have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
