TONGLAWIN, Nimba County –Madam Edith Gongloe-Weh, the lone female contender in the Nimba County Senatorial by-election, cast her vote Tuesday at the Tonglawin Public School, expressing general satisfaction with the conduct of the polls.
While praising the National Elections Commission (NEC) for a well-organized process, Gongloe-Weh confirmed that her team had formally lodged several complaints with the Commission. However, she declined to elaborate on the nature of the concerns.
“The process here has been smooth, and I commend the NEC for the organization,” she said shortly after voting. “However, my team has submitted some complaints to the NEC, and we are awaiting their response. It would be inappropriate for me to discuss the details of these complaints publicly at this time.”

Gongloe-Weh’s participation in the race has drawn significant attention, both for her candidacy and her vocal stance on electoral integrity. She reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring a free, fair, and transparent election. As voting continues across Nimba County, the spotlight remains on the NEC’s handling of the reported complaints and the credibility of the overall processes.
