The founding National Chairman of the Congress for Democratic Change Lafayette Orishall Gould has challenged the Liberian media to be trailblazers of the truth void of any compromise

“Resist any attempts intended to prevent you from reporting the truth,” he reechoed.

Speaking at the opening of a new media entity, Mr. Gould emphasized the critical role of the media in the country as such warned them to at all times stand for the truth in their pursuit to educate, inform, and entertain the general public.

He admonished the media that their independence is under threat once they fail to remain professional in their duties.

” Your independence is your guide, and it is what your integrity depends on as such, You should maintain it to the core”, he added.

Also speaking at the program was Bong County Senator Prince Moye, who pledged his continuous support to the media sector even though he is not a media freak person.

” I will continue to support in bringing professionalism to the media landscape of Liberia” Senator Moye added.

He used theoccasionn to encourage employees of Cape fm to remain objective while carrying out their professional duties.

” Be fair and report stories and issues that will promote peace, development and security and also have good integrit,” he re-emphasized.

As for the Executive Director of the Center for media studies and peace building, Malcolm Joseph, he stated that his entity advocates for the multiplicity of media institutions in order to ensure that the voice of the voices are heard.

According to him, with the initial composition of staff at Cape fm, he is convinced that the media entity is very serious and takes also as key, professionalism.

He was also quick to warn staff at Cape to continue to stand for the truth and not to be carried away by politicians.

At the same time, the head of the 72nd women Doris Dalieh Welcomes the opening of a new media entity within their community.

She pleged women of the community support and willingness to work with the entity whenever they are called upon to do so.

Established 2025, Cape Communications Inc. A broadcast media entity, according to its general manager Smith Toby, is here to change the dynamics in the sector.

He told the gathering that as part of his vision, they endeavor to be professional and ethical and to report the untold stories for the common good of the society.

“We will delve into human interest and investigative issues through our various content and programing respectively,” he further informed the gathering.

Located on the 72nd boulevard in Paynesville and with the motto, the ultimate experience, the new media entity has so far recruited some of the best broadcasters and or journalists and appears to be a formidable force to help transform the sector for the better through its professional coverages across the Country.
