The Ministry of Public Works has stepped up its road rehabilitation efforts
across Monrovia, with major progress reported on the 72nd Road in Paynesville.

This initiative is part of a broader national agenda aimed at improving road
connectivity, reducing traffic congestion, and enhancing the capital city’s
overall infrastructure.

According to the Ministry, the 72nd Road holds strategic importance due to
its location and the high volume of daily commuters. It serves as a vital link
between several residential communities and key commercial areas.

Once completed, the rehabilitation is expected to bring significant relief
to both motorists and pedestrians who have long endured poor road conditions.

Construction crews are currently engaged in grading, resurfacing, and
drainage works along the corridor. The Ministry assures the public that the
project is being executed with strict adherence to quality and safety
standards.

Residents and road users are urged to cooperate with workers to help
ensure timely completion.

The road rehabilitation underscores the government’s commitment to
infrastructure development and improving the quality of life for Liberians.

The Ministry also noted that similar projects are ongoing in other parts of
Monrovia and across the country, reflecting a long-term vision for a more
accessible and modern Liberia.
