Members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the opposition Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE) will gather at the party’s headquarters in Paynesville City on Saturday, June 21, 2025 for the First NEC Meeting since the party’s Third Emergency National Convention held from November 28-December 1, 2024.
The party’s National Executive Committee Meeting is in compliance with Artice 19 Section 2a of the MOVEE 2024 Revised Constitution, which calls for the holding of a National Executive Committee Meeting once every six (6) months.
The chairpersons of the 15 county chapters and the current 27 central NEC members of the Movement for Economic Empoweremnt are expected to be in attendance.
The one day National Executive Committee Meeting will be presided over by the Political Leader & Standard Bearer, of MOVEE, Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Saah, Kemayah, Sr.
Among other things, the gathering will afford members of the party’s National Executive committee to deliberate on matters relating to the status of the party, the party’s operations and logistics, restucturing of county structures, review of the party’s current logo, and the payment of membership due, amongst others.
At the same time, Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr. Women Empowerment & Vocational Skills Training Program will hold its first graduation ceremony on Sunday, June 22, 2025.
After an intensive six months theorical and practical training, 40 young females who have been trained in Tailoring and Cosmetology will set history as the first batch of graduates for such skills training program.
The Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr. Women Empowerment & Vocational Skills Training Program is a free six (6) month vocational program being offered by the Movement for Economic Empowerment to train young Liberian girls and women in Tailoring and Cosmetology.
According to the political institution, The Movement for Economic Empoweremnt remains committed to its economic empowerment idealogy that only an economically empowered people can make a prosperous nation.
The party will continue to maintain its status as one of the most formidable political parties within the opposition community in Liberia.
