In a remarkable celebration of generosity and community service, Mr. Jomah
B. Samuels and Mr. Henry Williams were honored at the State-wide Awards
Ceremony in Pennsylvania with “The Heart-of-A-Service International Award.” The
accolade recognizes their exceptional commitment to supporting refugees,
immigrants, and vulnerable individuals through tireless efforts to create
meaningful change.
The award ceremony was organized by the Pennsylvania Advocacy and Resources
for Autism and Intellectual Disability (PAR), bringing together community
leaders to recognize individuals who exemplify outstanding dedication to
service. Both honorees, Liberian nationals residing in the United States, were
celebrated for their work through the JBS Care Foundation Inc.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Samuels expressed deep gratitude to the award
committee, his family, colleagues at Woods Services, and the JBS Care
Foundation’s dedicated staff and volunteers.
“I am deeply humbled by this recognition,” he stated. “It is a testament to
the hard work and commitment of everyone involved in our mission to serve those
in need. Together, we strive to create a welcoming environment for refugees and
immigrants, ensuring they have the resources and support to thrive in their new
communities.”
Founded by Mr. Samuels, the JBS Care Foundation has been instrumental in
providing essential services such as legal aid, housing support, and cultural
integration programs. Mr. Williams, a key figure in the organization, has led
several impactful initiatives aimed at empowering and uplifting displaced
individuals.
The event drew notable local officials and community advocates, who praised
the honorees’ contributions.
“Today, we celebrate not just the achievements of Mr. Samuels and Mr.
Williams but also the spirit of compassion and unity that characterizes our
great state,” remarked one attendee.
Both men reaffirmed their commitment to continuing their mission and called
on others to join them in creating inclusive, supportive communities for all.
Their recognition serves as a powerful reminder of the profound difference
individuals can make through service, compassion, and community engagement.
