Liberty Party to Commemorate 20 Years of Democratic Advocacy inLiberia

The Liberty Party, led by Political Leader Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence,
will on May 19, 2025, commemorate its 20th anniversary, celebrating two decades
of active engagement in Liberia’s democratic journey.

The celebration will be held under the theme: “Liberty Party: 20 Years
of Democratic Legacy to Cherish.” It aims to reflect on the party’s role
in nation-building and reaffirm its continued commitment to good governance,
the rule of law, and democratic values.

In an official statement, the party’s leadership expressed profound
gratitude to its founding father, the late Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine. They
described him as a visionary whose leadership laid a solid foundation for the
party’s enduring presence in Liberia’s political landscape.

“The sacrifices, resilience, and unwavering dedication of our forebears
have instilled in us a compassionate political philosophy—one that champions
equal opportunities for all Liberians,” the statement read.

Since its formation in 2005, the Liberty Party has played a significant role
in shaping Liberia’s multiparty democracy. It has consistently championed
transparency, anti-corruption reforms, and policies aimed at improving the
lives of ordinary citizens.

The party also reaffirmed its dedication to fostering a democratic culture
rooted in human rights protection, inclusive governance, and national unity.

As the Liberty Party marks this milestone, it invites supporters and the
general public to join in commemorating a legacy of democratic advocacy and
continued service to the nation.
