The Kuncare Foundation, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Cllr. Kunkunyon Teh, has announced a significant educational endeavor to support underprivileged public school students in River Gee County.
The initiative aims to distribute 3,000 school uniforms to students, with the first batch of 1,500 uniforms already delivered to River Gee County.
The initiative ensures that every student has access to the essential attire required for a conducive learning environment.
Recognizing the financial constraints many families face, the foundation acknowledges that providing uniforms can help alleviate some of the burdens on these households especially struggling parents.
Kaytan Teh, a key figure at the Kuncare Foundation, emphasized the importance of education in shaping the community’s future.
“Every child deserves the chance to succeed,” said Teh. “By supplying uniforms, we aim to foster a sense of belonging and equality among students, allowing them to focus on their education without hindrances.”
The uniform distribution event is scheduled for early next week, during which the uniforms will be transported to central public schools for onward distribution to the students.
The Kuncare Foundation has teamed up with local schools and community organizations to identify students most in need of support.
