The Superintendent of Grand Kru County Antoinette Worwlee Nimley has cautioned citizens of Filorken community to hold together in unity and peace as one community.

It can be recalled that Citizens of Filorken community were engulfed into a long-standing conflict resulting in graved differences amongst them over the years.

According to the citizens of Filorken, the confusion broke out in 2021 when the former City mayor of the community, Nimely Doryen allegedly sold a Rice Mill which was donated to the citizens of the community by Liberia National Red cross Society and he was protected by another group of citizens within the community from prosecution.

The impasse which nearly lasted for five years, witnessed a complete brokendown of peace and unity among the citizens in the community something that prompted several stakeholders, including senator Nummene Bartekwa and Senator Albert Chie to intervene but such did not materialize.

Speaking at the induction ceremony of a newly appointed city mayor of Henryille city in Filorken over the weekend, Madam Antoinette Worwlee Nimley urged the citizens to embrace peace and unity to give development a chance in the community.

Meanwhile, the newly inducted city mayor of Henryille city Anothny Bropleh pledged to uphold peace and harmony in the discharge of his duty in the community.

He promise to work with veryone in the community and also assured the establishment of a peace building initiative to foster pace and unity amongst the citizens of Filorken.

Meanwhile, The ceremony brought together thousands of citizens from the community with as some women danced and celebrated the return of peace in the community.
