The Ministry of Education has completed a full renovation of Deah Memorial
Academy in Konobo District, Grand Gedeh County.
ย The $8,500 project, implemented by
J.M. Enterprise Inc., was funded through a budget reallocation and aims to
enhance learning conditions for students and teachers.
County Education Officer Elijah G. Freeman, who confirmed the development on
May 16, 2025, described it as a milestone in the governmentโs pursuit of
quality education.
He also praised Minister Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah and President Joseph Nyuma
Boakai, Sr. for prioritizing education reform.
In related news, over 1,000 students across the county are sitting the
2024/2025 WASSCE. Mr. Freeman highlighted several ongoing initiatives,
including a school monitoring tour and plans to place 60 local volunteer
teachers on the government payroll, part of a nationwide effort to integrate
2,000 volunteers into the system.
Mr. Freeman credited the success of these initiatives to collaborative
