The Government of Liberia has announced planned activities ahead of Liberia’s 178 independence day celebration.

Speaking at a press conference, Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah named Emmet Dunn as the July 26 day orator.

Amb. Dunn was appointed on December 10, 2024 by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai as special Envoy on partnership and philanthropy respectively.

Minister Piah said as part of the celebrations, the government will dedicate projects initiated by this government.

Sporting activities and Thanksgiving services both the Islamic and Christian faith will also be held as part of the celebration at separate locations.

Already, The National Lottery Authority has begun the distribution of food and non food items to members of the disable community as part of the celebration.
