The KunCare Foundation has provided fifty new desks to the Demonstration School in Fish Town, River Gee County.
The gesture among other things is significantly enhancing the learning conditions of students who previously had to sit on the floor during lessons.
The donation headed by the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Cllr. Kun Teh, addresses concerns raised by various local media regarding the inadequate learning environment at the public institution, which prompted widespread calls for assistance.
At a brief handover ceremony, Cllr. Teh said there is a critical need to invest in the education and development of young people of River Gee County.
“It is essential to support our youth,” he remarked, encouraging others to contribute to improving the county’s educational landscape.
In response to the donation, Principal Theresa S. Chea of Fish Town Demonstration School expressed her sincere gratitude, acknowledging Cllr. Teh’s ongoing commitment to supporting the school.
She mentioned a previous instance where Teh provided six bundles of zinc to help repair the school’s roof after it was damaged by a fierce storm earlier this year.
“Though he is simply a citizen of River Gee, his contributions speak volumes,” the principal noted.
At the same time, Local officials and community leaders lauded the donation, describing it as a significant step toward enhancing education within the county.
