In a tense and competitive style, Destiny Kickball Club has captured the National Lottery Authority Kickball Knock Out competition.
The 72nd Community base Club very determined to make history leveled the score just after her opponent Neatoh took the lead in the first innings of the grand finals.
The Match later got very tense as the fans cheers for more home runs from either side but that did not happen due to composure in defense from the two teams as first half ended one at piece.
Back from the break, the first division side through an outstanding display from pitcher Anna Sanoe ran passed her opponent to captilize from a defensive mistake to extend their home run to two which was subsequently doubled by striker Jestina Togba as Destiny KC fans voices were heard louder inside the stadium while Neatah fans watch quietly.
With two home runs margin, Neatoh also mounted pressure and close the gap to two home runs to three with one home run each to climax the game.
As the fans cheers inside the stand, Neatoh attacking options failed to overpower the cemented defense of Destiny who sealed all ends and eventually maintained her 3-2 advantage to automatically win the Knockout competition for the first.
The entertaining the classical grand finals ended with joy and celebrations for the champions but elsewhere , there were tears, pains and sadness for the second division outfit who came with high expectations to overpower her superior but that ambitious hope was dashed as superiority was demonstrated to the core by Destiny Kc.
Meanwhile, the National Kickball league is expected to come to a close on Sunday with competitive fixtures.
