A Liberian entertainer Karwoudou Cole allied with Bucky Raw at the center of a social media storm has strongly denied allegations linking him to drug activity after a video circulated showing agents of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) entering his home during a livestream.
The incident, which quickly went viral on Friday, fueled a wave of online speculation and unverified claims. In response, the artist issued a firm statement dismissing the allegations as “false, intentionally misleading, and pushed by individuals who have been trying to undermine me and my event.”
Cole, allied with Bucky Raw, said the timing of the incident was no coincidence, coming just hours before his highly anticipated show scheduled for Saturday evening.
He said certain individuals within the entertainment landscape have persistently tried to tarnish his reputation or disrupt his progress.
“It’s no secret that my name and brand have been a target in this industry,” he said. “For years, some people have gone out of their way to tear me down or create noise around any major move I make. Yesterday was no different.”
Bucky Raw emphasized that he has long moved past the struggles associated with his earlier life and has used his platform to support national efforts against drug abuse, a major challenge facing Liberia.
He stressed that despite his growth, critics continue to judge him by a past he has already left behind.Quoting a popular lyric, he added, “Ever since I changed my life, it’s the old character they are judging by.”
He called on the media to practice restraint and avoid amplifying unverified narratives that contribute to misinformation. “Do your job,” he said, “but don’t add unnecessary weight to my life by promoting falsehoods.
The truth is right here.”The entertainer reaffirmed that he has no ties to any illegal drug activity and accused those spreading the claims of acting with bad intentions and personal agendas.
He thanked his supporters for standing with him amid the controversy and assured the public that his event would proceed as planned.“I’m still moving, still focused, and as for the show, it’s happening tonight. We are not stopping anything,” he declared.
The LDEA earlier issued an official statement explaining what triggered the visit seen in the viral video and later took it down from their official Facebook page.
