The Government of Liberia, through the National Commission on Arms, has announced the commencement of a nationwide firearms registration exercise for civilians authorized to possess and use firearms. Speaking at the Ministry of Information’s regular press briefing on Thursday in Monrovia, the Chairman of the Arms Commission, James Fromayan, said the exercise is in line with the Act establishing the Commission, as well as Executive Order #141 issued by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai on February 24, 2025.
